Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Boneyard Dog Groomers!

1. General

By booking an appointment with Boneyard Groomers, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These are in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all dogs in our care, as well as to protect our business.

2. Fleas

Please do not bring your dog to us if you know they currently have fleas. This puts other client dogs and our own dogs at risk, particularly where collection services are involved.

If fleas are discovered during the grooming process:

  • Your dog will be washed using a specialist anti-flea shampoo

  • The salon and all equipment will require deep cleaning

This will incur an additional charge.

If you are aware your dog has fleas prior to your appointment, please contact us to reschedule.

3. Matting

Owners are responsible for maintaining their dog’s coat between grooming appointments. Regular brushing using the correct tools is strongly advised.

If your dog is matted:

  • Please inform us in advance so sufficient time can be allocated

  • Additional charges may apply depending on severity

In cases of excessive matting, it may be necessary to clip the coat short for the welfare of the dog.

4. Cancellations, No Shows & Collection

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling.

Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in:

  • An additional charge added to your next appointment

  • A requirement to pay a deposit or full payment in advance before rebooking

All advance payments are non-refundable if you:

  • Cancel late again

  • Fail to attend your appointment

Collection Policy:

Once you are notified that your dog is ready:

  • Collection must be within 30 minutes

  • Late collection will be charged at £5 per 15 minutes

5. Grooming Risks & Injury

Whilst every care is taken, grooming involves the use of sharp tools on live animals. Dogs may move unexpectedly, and there is always a small risk of injury.

  • Minor cuts will be treated with styptic powder where appropriate

  • In the unlikely event that veterinary treatment is required, your dog will be taken to the nearest veterinary practice

Boneyard Groomers accepts no liability for any veterinary costs incurred as a result of grooming-related injuries.

6. Behaviour

Owners must inform us of any behavioural issues (aggression, anxiety, biting, etc.) prior to the appointment.

We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse or stop a groom if a dog becomes unsafe to handle

  • Charge for the time already spent

7. Payments

Payment is required as agreed at the time of booking.

Where deposits or full payments are requested:

  • Payment must be made via the provided payment link prior to the appointment

  • Deposits are non-refundable under the conditions outlined above

8. Agreement

By booking an appointment, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions

  • You agree to abide by them
